If you watch an experienced mixer sit down to mix, you may wonder how he decides exactly what needs to be done, and in what order to approach the various elements of the mix. Well, one approach might be to divide the mix into several components—areas that will need to be addressed—and then, after some practice, settling on an efficient workflow for accomplishing these tasks.
A typical mix will have a number of specific elements that will need to be addressed—some for technical reasons, others for creative purposes—and, in many cases, both. These would apply to both audio recordings live instruments, vocals and virtual instruments synths, samplers. A somewhat simplified short list would include:. Now, on paper, it could seem like the most logical, organized approach might be to go through the mix track-by-track, addressing each of these aspects in turn, and then combine the finished, processed tracks, with a few final adjustments to optimize the blend.
This way I can familiarize myself with the raw material, checking for both technical issues that will have to be addressed as the mix progresses, and musical issues or ideas that I may want to incorporate later. It lets me get good overall working levels for the tracks where the level in the master bus peaks at around -6 to -3 dB or so. It also lets me hear a reasonable blend of musical parts, so I can get a feel for the tune. Then the next thing I do is usually panning.
I like to get the elements of the arrangement panned early on, so I can start to visualize the stereo field for that particular mix. Fig 2 A rough mix—just level and pan adjustments—as a starting point. Then I usually turn to EQ. I usually start with at least two or three reverbs—these days I prefer convolution reverbs. This would be the subtle and not-so-subtle effects that enhance the mix in various ways. To deal with this, again, like most mixers, I take frequent breaks, and then come back to the mix and play through the tune uninterrupted, shifting my focus to the overall sound, trying to hear as a new listener would for the first time. The Only 16 Mixing Tips You'll Ever Need

We both felt the trip too short in the end and wished we could stay longer. I definitely plan on returning to Iceland for a longer duration and during a different time of the year, I would love to see more of the country. I totally loved the idea of the self drive tour. It was my first self drive tour, and i would like to explore as many places this manner. I hope to do Scotland and Norway with you soon.
We had a wonderful ten days touring every passable road in the West and South of Iceland. We saw fantastic Northern lights. Met some amazing people. I just wish all the street and towns had twenty less letters. Aevar did an excellent job helping us when we had a problem with our rental car. Very helpful and efficient. Thank you, again Aevar. We were absolutely delighted with our visit to Iceland and were so glad we were able to circle the entire country. I'll admit to having tears in my eyes as we left Reyjavik.

The itinerary that was built for our trip was very well planned leaving enough time to explore the areas we were travelling as well as having sufficient time to find our nightly accommodations. For the most part we ate in restaurants located in the local areas as opposed to the hotels as some of the menus were very restrictive in selection. Breakfasts provided at the accommodations were fresh and lots of variety.Wordreference russian greek
Visited local museums but did not book any extra activities (whale watching, guided tours) as we prefer to explore on our own. We had an amazing trip. It was so well curated. All of the destinations were thoughtful both in terms of location and distance traveled during the day.
